NaPoWriMo #16: Liar, liar

I have loved someone as much as I love you.
I want someone more.
I can love you less if I try.
I hate the way your dimples come out when you lie.
I never hoped for you, dreamed of your face,
or prayed that you would come.
I do not wish you were here beside me.
I do not miss your voice when I sleep.
I do not want to be in your presence every waking moment.
I love someone else.

PROMPT:  And now for today’s prompt (optional, as always). After yesterday’s form-based prompt, today’s will hopefully be somewhat easier to get into. This prompt is from Daisy Fried, and the basic idea is to write a ten-line poem in which each line is a lie. Your lies could be silly, complicated, tricky, or obvious.
